1. Create Canned Emails

Start by setting up canned responses. This will save you from typing the same email over and over again. First, create a “Mini Session Confirmation” email with key details like location, start time, and date. Next, set up a “Mini Session Reminder” email to be sent a few days before the session.

2. Build Your Contract as a Questionnaire

Dubsado doesn’t allow you to attach contracts to schedulers (weird, I know). But no worries—you can create a contract in questionnaire format. Add key details like the client’s name, session participants, and any “must confirm” agreements (like cancellation policies or the number of attendees).

3. Schedule Your Mini Sessions in Dubsado

Next, head to the scheduler and create a new template for your mini sessions. For example, set the date to March 9th from 8 AM to noon with 15-minute slots. Include the session location, and link your confirmation and reminder emails using smart fields so they auto-populate.

4. Attach the Form and Invoice

Once your scheduler is set, attach the questionnaire you created (aka your contract), and toggle on the invoice. For a mini session, you might charge $350 for 5 images. Dubsado also allows you to customize time buffers between sessions—like giving yourself a 5-minute breather between shoots!

5. Automate Reminders

Lastly, add an automated reminder email—maybe 48 hours before the session. Clients will get their confirmation, reminder, and contract all without you lifting a finger.
